Source for sports in St. Albert is by far the best sports store we have ever been to. We go there for all our sporting needs, especially hockey. The staff are knowledgable and all very kind. They go above and beyond for their customers. The customer service is a 10 out of 10. We have been customers for over 10 years and it is truly a joy to shop there.

I bought had bought a Barcelona Soccer Ball off Amazon for my best friend’s son for Christmas as it is his Favourite soccer Ball Team! I received the ball no problem but came flat…. I googled who can help me get this ball blown up… no way my besties Son is opening my Christmas gift to him as A flat Soccer ball…. Anyway… I googled and this Shop popped up…. Now I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about sports or a Soccer Ball…I called first… told them my problem and the kind young man who answered the phone said…. “Yup… No problem… we can help.” I proceeded to ask the cost of the service of getting this ball filled and he was a bit unsure but he said like $5… I said see ya soon.
I arrived…. Completely Clueless…. This ball had a deflated bladder which I had NO IDEA that a soccer ball has a bladder… Jackson was SO kind and so was the older gentleman behind the counter who was sharpening skates who told they’d hook me up with a “needle” to fill deflated soccer ball…. I waited a bit…. Jackson brought me the ball and it’s beautifully blown up and proceeded to tell me that they helped free of charge for blowing up the ball but I had to pay for the needle…. I went to pay for this needle and it’s just over $1.00…. I gave Tony who was at the till a Toonie and said…”Keep the change , you filthy Animal!”… Line from a Classic Christmas Movie….he giggled and said I like that. ?☺️

When a store advertises a sale, you generally expect a discounted price from the list price. However, our recent experience was quite different. We discovered that their advertised sale actually involved marking up the item's price and then offering it at a supposedly reduced rate. Unfortunately, we agreed to purchase it without realizing this, and it wasn't until we checked online shortly afterward that we noticed the discrepancy.

After bringing this issue to their attention, they agreed to honor the MSRP of the item. Despite their rectification, it became clear that we didn't end up getting a deal after all. We ultimately purchased the item at full price. This serves as a reminder to thoroughly research before purchasing high-ticket items from anywhere to ensure transparency and fair pricing.

Dave and his staff are amazing. He took the time on the phone to arrange for me to get a beautiful custom set from his store. I live across the country but the gear came in amazing condition and arrived within 3 days! Amazing customer service and great selection of gear. Will definitely come back again for future purchases.
